BIO
Frank Policiano
I was born and raised in Colorado. I am, self-taught and had no formal education in the arts. I enjoy drawing and painting during my spare time. I started drawing in 1988 and expanded to painting. I have ventured into other areas of art and most recently started producing a talking stick.
My mediums consist of Prisma colors, Conte pastel pencils and acrylic paints. My artwork is mostly of Native Americans. There are other subjects that I have added to my artwork such as the talking sticks. My work is my interpretation of what I see or feel and some events that may have happened in my life. I have shown my artwork at various festivals and craft shows. In 2002, I showed my artwork at the Greeley Arts in the Park Festival, at the El Grito at the Pepsi Center, Lakewood on Parade in Lakewood, Colorado and Lafayette art show. I had my first art showing at Chicano for the Humanities and art council (CHAC)in Denver, Colorado, On January 2003 and in 2004 I was juried into the Colorado Indian Market. My artwork has been included in a coffee table book titled NORTHWEST ARTIST- A Collection Of Works By Notable Northwest Artist.
Lastly my hope is, that people who see my artwork will feel the peace my artwork has brought me.
